Crawl
What makes one crawl?
Crawl to reach up for help,
or rather to reach down and offer?
Aiming to stand once again,
or to lie down for good and suffer?
What if there are more options?
Think more dimensional.
Reach out to your left or right,
take on whatever fight is manageable.
I failed to reach out at all.
Like a clipped bird alone in its nest,
I took the route to hurt and ignore the rest
while aiming for a place a long way down to fall.
We must keep crawling.
It isn’t always needed to stand up,
as long as we don’t lie down.
We must keep reaching.
Either for yourself or the other.
We must keep fighting.
We must keep making sound.
