Don’t You Know That You Are A Shooting Star

I love that movie... I met Val once in California before he got sick with throat cancer.... He was the coolest. I really love that silly humor like the Airplane movies or Naked Gun movies... he made one back at the beginning of his career (around the time of Real Genius) called Top Secret, which always made me laugh my ass off.... I told him that was one of my favorites and he was so charming; we actually talked all about it for a lengthy few minutes. He was tickled that THAT was the movie that was my favorite of his.... Haha... I'll never forget how truly genuinely cool and gracious he was. It's such a shame that he's had to struggle with his health like he has. He's almost unrecognizable.... it breaks my heart!

The Salton Sea is phenomenal... Vincent D'Onofrio... Omg!!... Yeah, Val is a total part of my youth's lexicon and cool ass MoFo for sure!! I saw The Doors in the theater the day it opened and was (and still am) blown away by his performance. I think it was Oscar worthy.
Plus, he's absolutely pivotal in my all time favorite movie True Romance, which I coincidentally watched for the millionth time last night..... "I like you Clarence, always have, always will".... - Elvis (aka Val Kilmer in True Romance)
