Have We Had Enough
I feel it everywhere. In the tainted breeze, in the earth, as she screams in agony while she rejects us violently.
I feel cold as it bounces off the impenetrable strangers that don’t know they need each other, due to the monopoly game that we are predestined to lose, brothers competing against brother
while they are the bankers, cheating and clawing and consuming and contaminating.
We keep rolling the dice.
We Give them our power in trade for convenience and seclusion, for mind and body-numbing drugs and entertainment, at the cost of our privacy and our communities.
They count on us to stay small. They count on us to feel unloved and never enough, they give us just enough to stay content and then take it all back again as they present us with our next addiction.
Altering our history, altering their reports, keeping us in the dark as we grasp for a sense of control, a sense of our feet planted firmly, but they pull the rug,
Well knowing that recovery is dependent on an outside source that they’ve made taboo because we the people shouldn't have to ask for help
As they hide above us clouding our perceptions, casting lines and confusion
If there is not a hook already in you, then there is a net around you, or you are in a tank, or they contaminated your lake, we are surrounded and compliant.
Our minds repeat the same pattern of their curriculum
Day after day losing all sense of togetherness and empowerment, unfulfilled by the materialistic mindset, but that's because we don’t have enough, right?
We are reaching into the wrong places of ourselves, we reach into a competitive ego that this society has normalized
They feed us division and call us the United States
Relying on our own ignorance to keep us separated by religion, status, and race
They put guns in our hands to keep us afraid, make us fear each other, to keep us from looking their way.
They label us as mentally unwell but put a price on mental health, yet our society is the one with paranoid delusions.
depression from the weight of having to give all that we are in order to sustain. Someone keeps saying ‘it is what it is’ so we just agree and don’t change.
Instead, we distract ourselves from our increasingly pointless reality with increasingly costly consumption, dulling our senses with sex and alcohol, living our lives watching people on screens live theirs, and idolizing our oppressors. Listening to the top 100 hits delivers external pleasures while teaching dehumanization
Have we had enough? Do we keep walking on numb calloused feet guided by blind eyes and a disconnected mind that’s given up discerning between truth and lies?
Have our souls had enough negligence? Replaced with artificial constructs and intelligence and label this the future while they amputate the Earth of its nature and Us of our roots,
We are so out of touch, we are so far from the point, that we don’t even ask what it is anymore, and if we do we become identified as a conspiracist or a fraud but they are the ones conspiring against us
and they’re winning
and they will keep taking until we’ve had enough.
