Kissing a tree

It is by walking
That I kissed a tree
For I wasn't looking
Where I was going, you see
On such a gorgeous day
Observing in a window the display
Being created by a charming young lady
Colorful clothes, dresses, jackets and jeans
All items arranged in expert fashion
Items in which a person would like to be seen
As they spoke of Spring and various pleasant emotions
True, the young lady in the window
Was a gift for sore eyes. you may well know
Such a beautiful smile she gave me
I'm willing, any other day, to kiss a tree.
