City-me

without the buildings falling
and the windows wide open
hang gardens on the eyebrows
broken bridges without arches

I follow such desperate paths
stinged by all the bees in the sky
sound of cars starting in the streets
doors with palindrome numbers

in ruins of non-existent castles
the ruins of non-existent cathedrals
non-existent shopping centers
the steam from the suffocating asphalt

the city is nothing more than a cemetery
gardens, gardens, deserted gardens
public restrooms and prohibited cruises
glory holes and gardens everywhere

you can hear the echo of the screams
unidentifiable and inescapable
from the metro passing on the tracks
tearing up letters without recipients

empty postcards from nowhere
the sand beaches of the north pole
and organ markets in the South Seas
everything so tropical and banal

all so business and leisure travel
flight, bed and breakfast
everything is so teenage and genderless
everything is always crucial to say.
