Moon Lore Obscura
I have dreamt of you not knowing
And in my unknowings was undone
Who in the wrack of dreaming
Perished in the flood
*
I stand where skies no longer rain
And rivers flow no more to sea
Tween the blessing and the bane
Twixt reality and dream
**
Cross the uplands where you wander
So too wends the darkling flow
Breaching both gorse and heather
As the daylight slowly goes
Slow current, I seek no portage
Lay me down and let me drown
In the darksome reedy river
Under grey skies, tinted brown
Come the cold pressed evening
When glimpsed night in amber falls
In the sunset's dying gleaming
'cross the moor to cover all
I have spied you in the river
Nymph-like bathing in the the stream
Hair darkly streaming water
Skin like moonlight's silver'd sheen
Burbling stream or your laughter
Merry, joins the teaming flood
Belying eyes of wisdom's daughter
Whilst twinning tree and tender bud
Ah, stars fall and so do I
To lilting beckon of your words
Like music sung by sirens
By man longing to be heard
**
Last sudden flight of Starlings
Shocks the startled sky
Soft twist, I breath, transforming
As night falls in hammer blows
That like whispers land unbounded
Passion bent
Look to me
Reverberations silent echo
Light and shadow
Quietness
Ah, what color are your eyes
Vibrations spreading, ripple -
Stay!
Cornered sun no longer shines
Psyche and the box, locked away the key
What are those dark arcanel things
Blue likes shadows, their deeper match
Deepest blue intimately kissed by black
Demasked, bejeweled, star strewn
You of stream, of dream, where shadows lie in pools
Emotions seek to hold the wisps
The ghost of who you are
Rivulets, silky, streaming rivulets
The waters flow like liquid gold
Tracing every rich, ripe curve ~
Caress the you I cannot hold
Would you speak me into the water
At last lured to river's edge
Breath for me as I lie drowning
In the chilling winter stream
You fiery in the flo'
Panther
Ghost
Aurora
Door to tomorrow
Wakes the dawn
*
I die a thousand leagues from water
In the sunlight's failing eye
Drowning in your vision
In the evening's sigh
And in my unknowings was undone
Who in the wrack of dreaming
Perished in the flood
