Stargazer
Stargazer, why do you glance up at the sky?
Your home is on the Earth with the fauna and the flora
And like the ocean waves that are meant to fall not to fly
You are bound to this world just like the sun’s rays in an aurora
-
Ay, I am a stargazer, but not a dreamer
For I am a being of two worlds set apart
And it is imbedded within my soul to become a truth seeker
If only to reignite the flames within my heart
-
I am a being of light and love
I will always seek to rejoin my divine family
And if that requires setting my attention up above
Then I would gladly do so for the rest of eternity
-
Beloved stargazer, why do you glance up at the sky?
Your body is bound to the ground where your feet walk upon
Your soul will not be set free from this earthly restriction until you die
Only then can you carelessly chase after the dawn
-
Ay, my body is bound, but not my mind
I gaze at the stars to seek needed comfort
Peace, completion and joy is what I will find
As I reunite with my cosmic mother
-
I am a stargazer, nothing more, nothing less
I hold myself to no one-dimensional expectation
To bathe in pure starlight is to receive a caress
From the beginning and the end, until my next reincarnation.
