”Dr Maze.?. Dr Maze.  I like it…” - Cipher_O

(David’s Apartment)

The air is of a different composition, undertaken in an influence…

Electric.

Air, shimmering.

“That was nice.”  Katherine says.

“It was.”  David responds.

“I don’t…  I am don’t typically just kiss a person like that.  It was as if I couldn’t control myself.”  He continues.

A connection forms in her mind.

“You know…  I was actually just thinking about the nature of free will.”

Each time she revisits the scenes of her memory, they embed themselves deeper into her subconscious, spreading roots and expanding into zones and hemispheres.

“The nature of free will.  And where did that take you?”  He asks.

She adjusts herself, looking into a place, on the other side of things, in the dark side of molecules.

As though all molecules hold the capacity to be collapsed stars.

“I think we are both, in control and not in control, which does not make any sense.”  Katherine says.

David peers into her thought bubble.

“You mean like determinism and destiny?”  He asks.

“Yes.”  She realizes her conclusion came about at that very moment, inside of the line of sound a bell makes, threading her consciousness in spaces and mysteries.

“To be at the helm, while not at the helm is…

Something I must come to terms with…

If in fact it is true.”  She bites her lip.

“Then there is the idea of the awakenings of observations…”  David says.

“What do you mean?”

“Changing things by observing them.

Awakening that which is hidden, by the light of perception.”

He maneuvers his hand, a wizard revealing things.

Concluding with a fingertip of light.

Absorbed into his palm, as though by sleight of hand.

“I think that substance is kicking in.” His voice grows ever more distant, in echoes.

Distortion.

What do you do when one drug kicks in?

Take more drugs.

For the sake of simplification, we will call them: Drugs.

I rather like: Pharmakia.

Or.

Medicine.

Or.

Magic.

What wonders await these two wildchilds, as they delve further into Dr Maze’s bag of tricks?
