Moonlight
I dreamed about us last night
We were in a shadowed room void of color. There was only light and dark and all values in between.
The shapes of ourselves and our surroundings became more poignant, more dramatic with the absence of visual noise.
Moonlight was the only source of illumination. She lit up the edge of your handsome chapel, glistening with clean lines at confident attention.
She lit the the angles of my hand, fingers wrapping gently.
She illuminated the sinew of your arms, reaching to my face and to my waist
pulling me close to you
She watched us as we swallowed each other whole,
silvery voyeur that she is
Her rays reaching solemnly.
Illuminating our ultimate closeness from her cold vacuum,
I wonder if she is lonely.
