solace
I seek your company in the dull ache
bittersweet sorrow is no comfort for your absence
I turn to what I know for release
a love letter to you should you glance my way
in the lull of the day I thought of you
quiet and contemplative, always careful with yourself
lest you say to much and give away your heart
I need your essence lingering in the doubt
bidden to come closer I peer into your shadows
seeing your hurts I weep
what I perceived as arrogance was pain
deep in the soul of you
I reach to caress your secrets
but you could not allow
it was forbidden
a love like mine burn
with an intensity so great you shy
with sighs and whispers I tell you I love you
should you return my love tonight
