Rough and Stormy Seas
Stormy seas have once drifted us apart,
And now we reach out, heart-to-heart,
Trying to touch even fingertips,
From our rafts made of memories of laughter and roadtrips,
Hoping someday to hug again,
And be friends again,
The way adult children and their parents should be,
Out of this rough and stormy sea.
And now we reach out, heart-to-heart,
Trying to touch even fingertips,
From our rafts made of memories of laughter and roadtrips,
Hoping someday to hug again,
And be friends again,
The way adult children and their parents should be,
Out of this rough and stormy sea.
