Blow the dust off your bibles
the end is coming soon
Aliens are massing
on the dark side of the moon
They have weapons we daren't dream of
so it's no use to resist
If there's a bottle in your locker
you may as well get pissed
The aliens don't dig us
because our Earth is in a mess
It was not what God intended
so destruction's for the best
Now it may seem a trifle harsh
to obliterate our race
but if we reach out to the stars
then the universe ain't safe

This is a splendid write up which works as a keen observation on the nature of our species, and brought to my mind...THE INVISIBLE PYRAMID by Loren Eiseley, which ought to be mandatory reading for anyone BEFORE they invest in space dollars.
And who could blame aliens for exterminating a race of permanently enraged apes who also routinely demonstrate the inability to accurately associate with their immediate reality, and deny that they suffer from this communal schizoaffective disorder by calling it..."spirituality".
