Dusts Mists and Mirrors
Dear Gabe
I woke up this morning to the sounds of rain on my tin roof. It's too early in the morning to get up. So I lie here listening to the soothing sounds of the rain. It has been raining here every day. Monsoon again. I hope no one lose their homes through landslides and floods. Last year people were killed in landslides...sigh. Nature can be cruel.
I published our third book this year. Its all self published, you know. It's difficult to get a good publishing company in this part of the world. The book is a compilation of 12 stories based on the supernatural beliefs of our people. I know. I would send the second and third book to you, but you didn't exactly leave me your address.😊I am sure you'd love them...the stories. You once said you'd write a brief review on the first book. You got caught up, I know. But I was pleased that you thought about it
How am I? I've been better but I'm carrying on as usual. Im working on my fourth and fifth books. I hope I complete and publish them both before I get too tired and fade away. 😁You used to say Hush your mouth when I said that.
It's almost light now and the rain's almost stopped. It's still whispering though.
So how're you coping where you are? I miss you dear one. I wish you never went away. I wish you were still there and I could hear you speak of your work your home your mountain and the animals that flocked to your place for food. Or even your comments on people and places. I wish so many things but I believe where you are is a happier place where pain and sorrow don't exist.
I have no address for you but you loved DU and maybe just maybe you'd glance into this portal from yours and read this note. And smile...I hope. And Smile.
Hugs🌹
Always
