The Silent Goodbye

Dawn a muse that blooms on my curtains
magical hues through flowery gauze
this day two years ago
gauzy lights mixed misty eyes

the rant of disappointment
flowed through the shards
of unanswered prayers
the inner chant to wake up arise
fell on Lazarus deaf ears
you turned away
and left

the pain soothed with the shedding
of your tired ravaged body
you moved on into the happy glade
in your mountain with  golden dusts
the essence of you

flawed no more
your spirit roam
like Puck over hill over vale
I earthbound can only imagine
the beauty of your Elysian Fields

I hold you here
remembering
