Geode
She has more facets than one can count
Like light bouncing off the crystalline heart of a geode
Born under the pressure of a million oceans
A Slow change
Waiting patiently under mountains
Until she is cracked open in the just the right way
And she reflects her brilliant rays, prismatic and stark
For the deserving prospector.

This was a tour de force of poetry. That last line really spoke to me. Indeed that is what the mating game is about, who is deserving. Thanks for sharing this prismatic poem.
