I haven't lived in the real world since you died
in my mind you're still alive
if I think I'll break into tears
so I don't think, don't feel
I just futurise our next encounter
which I know is never coming
but I hold onto anyway
because I miss you

I'm very sorry for your loss. The worst feeling for me was the few moments in the morning before I remembered they were gone. It's a long road to acceptance, I hope it gets easier for you. This took me right back to when it was fresh, and made me realise I'm finally at a point where I can remember without overwhelming grief. Thank you
