The Time When America SAVED Africa

We don't usually think of World War One as America's finest hour.
For WW1 is simply not that glorious; decisive, or noble.
 But if we will only take a new look at WW1,
 we can find much to be impressed with !!
 We should be grateful that it ended as positively as it did.
The cause of WW1 - what was it ??
The arch duke of Austria'Hungary was assassinated by a Serbian radical.
 Austria wanted Serbia to pay for this offense. Germany pushed Aistria to make excessive demands, why ??!!
 This next part is often overlooked:
the GERMANS were the ones panting for war.
They WANTED war more than anyone else. Without Germany's muscular male hegemonic saber-rattling, the other parties would most likely have come to an amicable agreement that didn't include war, a world war !!
It was Germany Germany Germany that INSISTED on war.
Now why is that ??!!
As a major European power Germany was on a par with such others as Great Britain and France.
The difference was that Germany had become a united nation only in 1870 or so.
 Up until then Germany had been a flock of mini-states.
As a result the Germans had acquired not more than a couple of colonies in Africa.
While Britain and France had already carved out major colonies in Africa
 - because they had started much earlier than Germany.
The Germans literally felt the need to make up for lost time. They wanted to acquire colonies in Africa by taking already existing ones away from Britain and France !!
But on what basis ??!!
Well, if Germany defeated Britain and France in a war,
 THAT would enable Germany to have a "legit" basis for demanding the surrender, the handling over, of colonial lands in Africa to Germany !!
So you can see that Germany DESPERATELY NEEDED a war in which to catch up to Britain and France and surpass them.
Yes, AFRICA was the prize for which Germany was truly obsessed !!
Well by the time America entered the war, both sides were worn out.
There was a fairly stable stalemate.
Only AMERICA's entry into the war brought the war to a quick decisive conclusion !!
 The Allies won out against the might of the Axis Powers !!
 Why was it most fortunate that things turned out that way ??!!
The Germans fought native African tribes by spraying them with poison gas. This was before WW1.
Everybody knows the Germans introduced the use of poison gas in WW1.
So that lends credibility to the charge that the Germans resorted to poison gas in Africa, several years before WW1.
In short, the Germans were not just racists on a par with the British and the French.
German racism was in a class by itself.
The Germans led by Karl Peters wanted to exterminate the native African tribes, not just control them !!
 So if Germany had won WW1, they would have taken over all the colonies of Britain and France,
adding up to half of the whole continent- if not more !!
The triumphant Germans would have developed a "Manifest-Destiny" ideology in which they saw it was inevitable that ALL of Africa would fall prey, over time, to the power of Germanic superiority !!
Yes, Africa came close to becoming a continent-wide hell-hole of racial oppression much like that of South Africa in the 20th century !!
Only the entry of the USA into WW1 SAVED Africa from a truly Hellish fate.
 Instead of Apartheid existing just in South Africa,
the whole continent would have been cursed with Apartheid on steroids which might have gone on indefinitely !!
So when we are tempted to find fault with America due to its racist past,
we should instead glorify America for rescuing Africa by winning WW1. You could say WW1 was a surprisingly successful war - that spared a whole continent an enormous amount of pain.
