With Him
With him, I’ll begin again, ending what is my past.
With him, I’ll love more kindly whether in joy or in sorrow.
With him, I’ll give my self more freely, trusting he'll
protect all that I choose to share.

Re. With Him
He is quite a lucky man because at first glance it looked to me like it might be a picture of those sultry women who engage in "acting" on screen.
Let me just say that the woman in the photo is beautiful, amazing and gorgeous.
If I continue any further it's going to get me into trouble.
Keep Well...

Thank you. You won't get in trouble by flattering me. Your words of praise made my heart smile.

I would echo Laluma's comment about your profile picture - 'beautiful, amazing and gorgeous'.
Those few lines of your poem speak of finding what I would wish as true love for you.

Your photo is heavenly. And your new love is very fortunate to have earned your love.

It's beautiful when you find that person you can trust and love so dearly. When you can share that level of intimacy that goes so much deeper than just the body. It's like this incredible reward for all that you have been through up until this point. I like what I also feel is recognition of your own mistakes along the way and learning from those. The photo is perfect, I find the look so joyful but almost expressing disbelief as well; like is this real? Is it to good to be true? but he is there to answer you. This is lovely Nizana.

Rediscovering and rereading this since her passing, it seems the look of a woman who has found what has transpired to be her last great love.

Thank you for rereading mother’s poems and reminding me of the times surrounding them. I remember the man she wrote this about. He was wonderful and sadly I don’t know what happened but they were madly in love for a couple of months and then grew apart. Their breakup was hard on her but she bounced back as always with another man on her arm a few weeks later.
I’d forgotten about this photo of her. Her face was so happy there.

Thank you for filling me in on the history. The picture reminded me of how radiant our Princess Diana appeared in pictures taken when she was with her last love, Dodi before both were killed in 1997. Among the spontaneous floral tributes I saw gathered up at a high point in my nearest town was one with a message on the label addressed to Dodi saying "Thank you....for giving her the look of being truly loved."
Hard not to agree feelingly with the sentiments of the last verse, which echoes so many women starting a new loving relationship::
With him, I’ll begin again, ending what is my past.
With him, I’ll love more kindly whether in joy or in sorrow.
With him, I’ll give my self more freely, trusting he'll
protect all that I choose to share.
