The Deepest Sleep
I feel the knots between us
Untied by the most torturous
I watch the ribbon regain
And the memories fade like last nights rain
A train you caught away from my heart
And my face a vessel
Travel on in the golden sun
Find the sea you sail upon
But share this secret knot with me
Set this your star
And I’ll be here when you’ve lost your way
Or to rest your body from the fray
You silently unravel the lies
My most treasured and sacred
Let this, the remembrance dialogue
Never lose the hidden tie
Never enough
I will see you when the sun sets north
And the sky allows me this one
Final sigh
Don’t say goodbye.
Untied by the most torturous
I watch the ribbon regain
And the memories fade like last nights rain
A train you caught away from my heart
And my face a vessel
Travel on in the golden sun
Find the sea you sail upon
But share this secret knot with me
Set this your star
And I’ll be here when you’ve lost your way
Or to rest your body from the fray
You silently unravel the lies
My most treasured and sacred
Let this, the remembrance dialogue
Never lose the hidden tie
Never enough
I will see you when the sun sets north
And the sky allows me this one
Final sigh
Don’t say goodbye.
