Oh to die young
Oh to die young
and retain your immortality.
To die unpolluted,
by human brutality.
Oh to forgo the suffering:
of a heart, shattered,
of a promise forgotten,
of a friend forever lost.
Oh to have others believe,
that you never fulfilled your true potential,
never knowing the truth:
That you wouldn't have amounted to much.
Oh to not have to suffer,
through the same sad routine
day after day after day.
Oh to not have to endure,
the shame of all the mistakes
and the horrible failures,
that your future holds.
Oh to not have to see,
everyone you love,
grow sick and diseased,
and leave you
forever.
Oh to not have to watch,
your body wither over the years,
to not live only thanks to the charity of others.
Oh to not grow more and more afraid,
as the few good memories you made,
in your hellish life, fade
so slowly
from your demented mind.
Oh how wonderful it would be,
to die young.
and retain your immortality.
To die unpolluted,
by human brutality.
Oh to forgo the suffering:
of a heart, shattered,
of a promise forgotten,
of a friend forever lost.
Oh to have others believe,
that you never fulfilled your true potential,
never knowing the truth:
That you wouldn't have amounted to much.
Oh to not have to suffer,
through the same sad routine
day after day after day.
Oh to not have to endure,
the shame of all the mistakes
and the horrible failures,
that your future holds.
Oh to not have to see,
everyone you love,
grow sick and diseased,
and leave you
forever.
Oh to not have to watch,
your body wither over the years,
to not live only thanks to the charity of others.
Oh to not grow more and more afraid,
as the few good memories you made,
in your hellish life, fade
so slowly
from your demented mind.
Oh how wonderful it would be,
to die young.
