Oh to die young
Oh to die young
and retain your immortality.
To die unpolluted,
by human brutality.
Oh to forgo the suffering:
of a heart, shattered,
of a promise forgotten,
of a friend forever lost.
Oh to have others believe,
that you never fulfilled your true potential,
never knowing the truth:
That you wouldn't have amounted to much.
Oh to not have to suffer,
through the same sad routine
day after day after day.
Oh to not have to endure,
the shame of all the mistakes
and the horrible...
and retain your immortality.

Mirrors don't lie
I'm an oxymoron,
a hideous hybrid of fat and thin.
How can I look like such a glutton,
if bones are visible through my skin?
How can my ribcage struggle
to escape it's prison and bloom,
when underneath it a vast expanse
of fat takes up so much room?
How can my spine jut out
like a vast jagged mountain range,
if underneath lie these horrible legs,
bulbous and bloated, swollen and strange?
How can my collarbones stand out
like a plateau,
when atop it lies a head with cheeks
like boils ready...

MISCELLANEOUS POEM

Toddler in a tumble dryer
He crawls into that dark cave,
in search of comfort,
in search of warmth and safety,
not knowing how much it will hurt.
He wakes under fluorescent lighting,
his parents praying for his wounds to mend.
But for all his struggling, for all his fighting,
he tumbles quickly to his end.
I stare at his now empty bed,
and wonder who will replace him,
I wonder what hurt they will bring,
and how long till they too are dead?
in search of comfort,

not knowing how much it will hurt.

What if I fail?
I've got everything planned out.
I put the rest of my life into a to-do list.
I've got this, without a doubt,
All I've got to do is persist.
I just have to get a degree,
and choose between careers.
And then that'll be the key,
to dismissing all my fears.
I just have to make friends,
just have to get a life.
And who knows, by the time it ends,
I might just have a wife.
If it works, I can die with a smile.
I won't suffer in sadness and fear.
I might even want to stay around a while,
I might...

Broken
Everything we are is broken,
broken homes, broken spirits, broken bones.
Wings clipped, wrists slit, heart torn open
Bywords spoken in sharp, stabbing searing tones
Everything we are is broken,
broken pacts to broken people.
Every fear, every scar a token
gifted to us by the ones that made us feeble.
Everything we are is broken,
broken homes, broken people, broken lives.
All of us have given up hoping,
because this is a world that no one survives.

My elixir
I wrap my lips around you
And inhale
Fill my lungs with your poison
And exhale
My lips become numb
As I breath out
My problems and doubt
To which I will never succumb
The smoke
Swirls around inside of me
Freeing me from the demons
That so often make me choke
You're killing me

Was barren

The bright beautiful stars

Golden orbs
Golden orbs
Drifting down the road
Golden orbs
Their hearts a heavy load
In this fog enveloping me
Golden orbs
Are all that you can see
As they creep towards the church
Here comes the reaper
For the creature
That these golden orbs carry
To the preacher
On this cold winter morning
Many are mourning
For this funeral procession
Carries me, a child

There's always been
Ringing
After all I've heard and seen
There's ringing in my ears
It's ringing in my ears
Because you hurt me
It's brought me to tears
The end is too far to see
I hate you
You gave me these fears
