Nervousness versus anxiety
So anxiety, we are told
Is a psychiatric disorder
Stemming from genetics,
Brain chemestry and life events.
I've always been super nervous
Totally messed up
Always prone to act before I think
....If I ever do think
And thus oftentimes regretting
My very moronic and certainly bad choices
With after-the-fact 20-20 vision.
So anxiety versus nervousness
...I don't see a difference
Thus I think I'm a good prospect
For the loony bin.

You bring many interesting points. I think many of us have been nervous when a certain event is coming, a first date, a job interview, a meeting, etc. etc. Anxiety however feels like it lingers, like something unreal, expecting the worst outcome and yet nothing ever happens.
