Let His Soul Be Free
As I watch him lay in pain
I beg for mercy
He speaks in delirium
I listen
As his restless body aches
I tenderly comfort him
He reaches in the air
I hold his aged hands
As he once held mine
When I was small
I wear a blanket of grief
As he lays in a bed of death
The window is open
Let his soul be free
I beg for mercy
He speaks in delirium
I listen
As his restless body aches
I tenderly comfort him
He reaches in the air
I hold his aged hands
As he once held mine
When I was small
I wear a blanket of grief
As he lays in a bed of death
The window is open
Let his soul be free
