For My Mom



You know,
You tell me that I mean the world to you
and I believe what you say.
I know your words are true
because Mom,
You mean the world to me too.

You have stood by me
throughout the years.
You have comforted my falls
and you have dried away tears.
You have been everything to me.
You are my mom and dear friend.
I know that on you I can always
depend.

Over the course of time
there have been some ups and downs.
It would not be normal
without a few frowns.
But we have always come out happy.
It is a gift having each other
and when it comes to “greatest moms”
in my mind there is no other.

So this is to say thanks
for everything that you have done
and for all of the love
which yours compares to none.
And I want you to know, Mom,
that I am here for you too.
I love you and I am grateful
for everything that you do.
