The Casting of Shadows
It was dark
but had there been light
you may have seen the knife
that stabbed you with those awful truths.
Oh how it hurt.
Eventually over time
you realized that shadowy night
had given you the freedom
of knowing.
Some, never get that.

Freaking awesome piece, I found it dark but filled with bloody truth, something that only in retrospect can we only fully comprehend.
