I am in a rut

Another zero day
More of the same to be expected

Tomorrow and beyond.
Out there the sun barely shines
Then leaves its place to the moon
Alternating like clockwork
Locals going about their business
Loving, hating, or being indifferent
You are in the crowd and yet not.

Bored stiff
Overseeing what could matter though
Refusing to see the beauty that surrounds you
Evading life for the security of your small world and
Dying by the minute.
