LSD-Epiphany
I had been out
Into the night
And was just
Starting to
Peak
I was surprised
By a light in the living room
My mom was sitting
On the floor
Going through some items
She invited me
To sit with her
Entering the room
Was like an astronaut
Prepped to visit Mars
& strange stars
* * *
The light was other
Worldly
Vivid
Spilling out of my eye
Lid
But paled
In
Comparison
To her inner illumination
& the grace
Of her beautiful face
I felt completely
At ease
As we conversed over the
Stars
At that moment
I knew
I would or could
Never
Be far
From
Her

Fixing to read all of your mothers day poems!!
This is the first one so far.
I sooo love this.
I wasn't sure what the read would be with the title being LSD - Epiphany. LOL
So pleasantly surprised - the closing pure perfection. Yes - I might be a bit biased since
I am very close to my mother. I totally get never being to far from her. She honestly
is my rock in everything. She will still to this day send me a text telling me
I can always come home anytime:)
