Emerald Leaves
Not ready to be left behind
Just got a re-burst of time
The ritual of evolving
A crowded fleeting feeling
In verdant so vibrant
Each leaf an oasis island
Gem filled beauty within
Chlorophyll inside my skin
Emerald leaves made from a sunlit sky
Feeling the beams giving me life
Reaching for memories in the clouds
Not ready to be pulled down
Forgotten leaves swept off the ground
Progressing past a forgotten town
I’m holding on for the shimmer
For you to remember
The twinkle in your eye

All the green around me is so pretty. When the wind blows (it's been windy here) the green leaves so lush and full of life. I hear them sing:)

Just what the doctor ordered in this poem. Pretty to visualize and very melodic to read/sing. I really enjoyed the feeling of relaxation throughout this write and to know the best way to let go of the yick from the day is through the nature around us. I'm so glad you reminded me of this. The leaves around me are such a vivid green. Just
luxurious to look at. All look so new and shiny:)
Made me think of gems on trees.

Hell, I'll even take cool sequin cap. LOL
In all seriousness though the green right now is so
vibrant.
Such a fresh newborn shine to it - it almost looks fake but it's not.
My mom has a spearmint herb pot in her back yard, Those leaves are also such vivid green - smells good too.
