Within their lair

Beneath rock stairs
Blending into the
dark pointed shadows
An army of stingers
with instincts to follow
The flesh of mankind
Prepared to strike
With snapping pinchers
Embracing the black light
Defending the right
To survive and thrive
In their venomous region
For a home of stones
Embracing what may come
Willing to fight and die
In memoriam

Author's Note
Just moved and I am freaking out!!!!
Scorpions everywhere. Finally sprayed the outside and inside.
I found one on my bedroom wall. I thought it was a shadow of
the light switch. Nope. There he was - ready to strike my hand.
That was close!! It is the third one I found inside. I don't mind them - as long
as they stay outside!!

Ohhhh, Yay! I mean Yikes! We have big bugs and small bugs, but the big scariest give you the willies uglies we have are mostly non-pointy. They're just ugly and hideous to behold. My mom tells me about having to shake out their shoes when she was a kid in California in the 40s and 50s lest a scorpion be making residence within. No thanks!!!! I'll take the swamp bugs. You guys can keep the scorpions! 😂😭
Actually the best bugs are the pill bugs, those segmented armored darkish grey doodlebug bugs which look like bus or a tiny oblong tank and roll up into a little ball when handled. Awfully sweet, my childhood faves. They live mostly in cool damp leaf detritus, like behind bricks edging a garden and whatnot, and they are of the same evolutionary lineage as lobsters. Yum! I mean, Cute!

Ughh girl is has been a struggle. The night sky is pretty awesome though. I'm making the best of it. This is mostly a vent write.
On a lighter note I use to watch Scooby Doo and wonder why Shaggy and Scooby would run in place when they were scared. Eventually they took off but after they kinda froze. Well amiga that is basically what I did when I saw it by my light switch. Too funny!!!
I was moving but not going anywhere. hahaha

Shows such deep perspective
and understanding...

that does not leave me too exhausted write.
