Percutere Diem (NaPoWriMo 2022 #16)
The Sun has returned
and I rage with it.
Emanating blazing passion
as if with wide arms of fire
unfurled in greeting
as if to say
embrace the blaze.
A kindled fervour
beacon bright
combustion and conflagration
rolling outwards,
suffering not
within this heat
that strikes the soul
with songs anew,
with daring wilful force
challenging the day as it rises.

I think the trick is to simply let go; a shake of the head or vocal words of defiance. That, and ignoring it in favour of other things, like the innumerable sun rays.
