In The Deep
Waves of sadness arise from an ocean of sorrow
Drifting just beneath the surface
A girl with no time left to borrow
Despite her attempts to escape the deep and the dark
She remains anchored to the sea floor
Weighed down by a heavy heart
Accompanying her
The vacant shells of unkept promises
Alongside them
The murky remnants of unpaid for consequences
Within the few, fleeting moments she has ever spent reflecting
The girl recounts how often she has feigned victim in her life story's retelling
Her shallow energy
Not fixated on how to improve
But with the amount of blame she can place on you
With a storm of hate approaching soon
She must stay afloat
Each tide of emotion
Changing violently with the position of the moon
Embracing vulnerability
No longer afraid of rejection
She boldly dismisses the siren's leering calls toward perfection
Released from her self prison
She encounters clear waters
Here is a place where love is all that she plans to foster
