MASQUERADE
My ink spills reveal the ills that pills mask
Many know how it feels to fulfill that task
Some bask in the sunshine; others in misery
Spilled line by line in the supine of our poetry
He, she, we and those that are undeclared
Use this vice to suffice for the unrepaired
As we declare war on memories stored within
It's said, what's stronger than a sword is a pen
Rooting for us all to win our internal battles
Some have traveled bumpy roads since the rattles
Becoming radical over suicidal in Sandra Bland's cell
Many secrets kept cryptic; those who know may never tell
Many know how it feels to fulfill that task
Some bask in the sunshine; others in misery
Spilled line by line in the supine of our poetry
He, she, we and those that are undeclared
Use this vice to suffice for the unrepaired
As we declare war on memories stored within
It's said, what's stronger than a sword is a pen
Rooting for us all to win our internal battles
Some have traveled bumpy roads since the rattles
Becoming radical over suicidal in Sandra Bland's cell
Many secrets kept cryptic; those who know may never tell
