I See You
I feel the sadness through each text you send me
I see the struggle in your eyes when we videocall
I know what it’s like to be trapped in your own mind
Desperate to give in to all the terrible thoughts
I can see the shadows that loom around you some days
I want you to know you are not alone
I am here and that will never change
I don’t pretend to know your demons
But I will face them with you if you let me
You are stronger than you will ever know
