Crimson Smile

Just stay down peon
I hear the glorious laughter
Maha Kali, look what I brought home
She smiles approvingly at my gift
Cleansing me of all this ash
Onlookers quizzical gazes
As I revel in the hunt completed
Smelling the blood of my enemy
The perfect sacrifice before me
As I wipe a sordid smile across my face
My drawn glee smearing on my sleave
Metallic clanging as he runs away
Leaves a glinting slash in the cement
A landmark for my walk tomorrow
Lying there prone and exposed
Naked and enticing to my prey
Maha sways back and forth
Arms ringed around her waist
And she knows my eyes dilate
At the view of Her radiant figure
And smiles knowingly at the lust
She sees in this feral stance
I wipe the dried crimson off my face
Like I just had an orgasmic experience
I have pleased my Goddess, in this journey
And She rewards me with my sanity
Kept for safe keeping just outside my reach
And so I will wait for my Goddess incarnate
In the lover I will have in my life
To journey this dark path alongside
To release our feral nature onto each other
The carnal desires made spiritual
The spiritual desires made carnal
I will continue to dance in the blood
Fallen from my enemies
And continue to wade through as much ash
As it takes to meet my Goddess incarnate
And my enemies can be forgotten

Author's Note
This is a poem I wrote the other day after walking down an alley in the inner city. Such confrontations seem inevitable here.  And luckily all anyone lost was his knife.  Yay!!!
