the mirage of blackbirds
in alterations you hum,
escalating then reverberating a tone
that only I can hear in the gossamer twilight
in the quiet times before my midnight storms
and my brittle bones ache
I dare not yet I do see you burning with intensity as you toil
picking words from the universes
harvesting the souls of them
and then with quill to parchment
arrange their grace so the angels may speak again
uttering in my ears knowledge garnered from the winds
speaking the ancient language of deep, black space
bending time you entered my dimension of silence
I coded the music so when entranced you would have visions
seeing me you would not see
hearing me you would not hear
until the celestial notes awaken you to my presence
spinning on the thimble of belief
you are aware, yet still doubt
climbing the onyx truths
holding the keys of knowledge
you peer into the nothingness
seeing what was and is
~~~~
Your essence is a lustre of blackbirds,
Caressing lights of solaced sights on candle lit
Nights – Shed in wavelengths to shores
In whispers that retracted back to the black
Of depths and distances, impossible to reach -
Impossible to breach – Upheld in ramparts
Beheld by the primal aspects of the elements,
So should you disappear – You should reappear
In extensions of limitless contemplations
Which venture into mirages of weeping contours
Absent of convention – In another dimension,
Where maybe you are still here, in a form
And function, known only to the chaos of self,
Visiting upon sodden sod in sullen shadows -
Ambulating in creeps of distanced deeps,
As spider webbed branches dance in shivers,
Like souls sold to the cold – Singing bold
Songs of apathy which becomes ecstasy -
On this night of blight, healed in concealed
Ceremonies of the dark soul, revealed rapt
In the enrapture of strictures unbound in
The sound
&
Presence
Of
The musicality of silence.
