Vita

Fate will be settled in this final stage of battle.
Ravenous for change, stained enamel, no chance to realise, death never came by surprise.

Death was rather welcomed. Carried by smiles.

Set free of strains. Relief. Separated from reality.
Thief of your own sanity. Breathe.
Lungs filled with pure oxygen after exhaling vile anxiety.

——

What a terrible act to perform. What a display of weakness.
Derailed by crazed grey matter to even think about let alone seek this.

——

Sadly this is how many perceive depression.
It is a misunderstanding fuelled by misinformation and aggression.

People who lost the fight to depression
fought harder than these people can ever imagine.

And it makes perfect sense. It is hard to imagine.
Those who’ve been there and won the battle can relate.
Still scarred for life because there’s always chance to trip again.
Always afraid.

Won the battle. Dusted yourself off.
Toughest thing you experienced by far.

Won the battle.
But will you ever win the war?

——

Scarred on the outside for the entire world to see.
Greater scars plague the inside. Just a sight for you and me.
