Silent Night

Silent Nights are dreadful for loners.  Worse time of the year.  Sometimes I try to stop by a Church where they have a communal meal....there is that........Cheers and kisses, Robert.

thank you Robert, yes it is sometimes a painful time of year for many of us. i found my mother dead on the floor, 6 years ago now, and that memory may fade, but will never leave me, it cast a profoundly dark shadow over the festive festivities, which weren't great in the first place. tidings of comfort, and joy seem a bit hollow now. but we all move on as best we can. i hope you have as good a xmas as you can, take care, all the best, Jemia x

Hello dear miss Deblondeville.  That must have been a hell of a schock and these never leave us.  I also wish you the best for these Holidays.  PS;  around here even on Christmas day sometimes some stores and coffee shops open up  in early afternoon.  The entire worse is New Year when EVERYTHING goes dead for 24-36 hours.    Regards and kisses, Robert.

i work as a volunteer, for a charity, and i don't yet fully understand why we close down between xmas, and the new year, as we support by phone, but we need to have a debrief afterwards, which requires specialist advice, in case of eventualities, but none of the specialists, are available during that week, which is a shame, as i'd be more than willing, to help during this period. so my new years resolution, is to become one of those specialists, to fill that gap if i can, and hopefully partly fill a black hole. hence some of my poetry, is about black holes in space(s) x
