I Saw It In A Dream
I saw it in a dream,
the fear, it did provoke
a scream.
It woke me from
my sleep,
Drenched in sweat,
I began to weep.
So from my bed
I arose, and grabbed
my pen to compose
this prose, writing words
of beckoning dread, this
dream of you inside my
head. It was only fiction,
my heart, it knew, for in this
dream you whispered,
”I love you”.
