Lives Left Tangled
Scribbling on paper stars, rising
Lost in the unbroken moment of a strange new clarity
when the wind whispers "no regrets"
to a dying sun that was never listening
Hearts beating in such an err of reason
Bitter sweet
Like children doing Monet
such a beautiful disaster
It's days like this I remember
how he unravled me
Cuz he knew pulling at my threads
was the only way for me to save myself
He wrote his name across my lines
& back again
Leaving me on my knees
gasping to the heavens when he said
"Stay."
