don't stagger up
the garden path
if the door isn't yours
there might be vipers
in the grass
don't wonder at what they said
if you don't know who's it for
curses in whispers might be shelled out
for one other than you
don't think smiles are for kisses
and gloomy faces are for bitter tears
closed eyes are not blind
laughter is not always kind
