Fireworks
The humid July mist of the evening
Falls gently on our skin,
Leaving a sticky sensation to the touch.
As night time falls
We eagerly wait
For the excitement.
As the Fourth lights up the sky
You and I spark the flame
That only two can make.
It is in this flame I shoot off;
A spark only seen,
A spark only felt,
A spark only received
By you.
Fireworks shoot deep inside you,
Making it almost too much to bare.
And yet you scream and beg for more.
Falls gently on our skin,
Leaving a sticky sensation to the touch.
As night time falls
We eagerly wait
For the excitement.
As the Fourth lights up the sky
You and I spark the flame
That only two can make.
It is in this flame I shoot off;
A spark only seen,
A spark only felt,
A spark only received
By you.
Fireworks shoot deep inside you,
Making it almost too much to bare.
And yet you scream and beg for more.
