Pedestrian Silence

Pedestrian Silence

Unremarkable
Defines itself
As that which
Is neither
Marked
Nor remarkable.

The unstained,
Unfiltered,
Unscathed,
Undefined
As such,

Rambles on
Its meteor path
Into constellations
Unknown
And unobtained.

We cannot
Forget
What was
So entirely
Unmemorable

As to be
Unseparated
From
The most
Common.

And,
In this
Triage
Of bourgeoisie
Suffering,

The common,
The ordinary,
The lesser
Of all gods,

An insignificance
Of tenderness
Replaces
The cosmos

With its
Matter
Of factness:

Sand,
Dust,
And silt,

The kind
Of lips
That ponder
A kiss
As if
Time has
No meaning

And the narrative
Of life
Is spun
Like a ball
Of yarn

Hidden
In a very
Unforgettable
Basket.
