Meet in the Ether

it's 10 degrees, raining
with a storm from the sea
taking place outside,
I'm wondering if we

will meet in the ether
the internet beyond
microwaves and cables
where we belong

when we're alone
watching each breath
entering, leaving
aware of the depth

of consciousness inside
the mind we all share...
when I think of you
and you know I'm there

synchronizing rhythmic
pulses to find
we can be linked
from mind to mind

in storms from the ocean
and solitude at night
exploring the in-between
so that we might

meet in the ether
somewhere between
what we are thinking
in a mind stream

flowing together
for just a while
feeling new feelings
making us smile
