By Definitions

A lady:
A woman who looks after the domestic affairs of a family; a mistress; the female head of a household.
A woman having proprietary rights or authority; mistress; -- a feminine correlative of lord.
A woman to whom the particular homage of a knight was paid; a woman to whom one is devoted or bound; a sweetheart.
A woman of social distinction or position. In England, a title prefixed to the name of any woman whose husband is not of lower rank than a baron, or whose father was a nobleman not lower than an earl. The wife of a baronet or knight has the title of Lady by courtesy, but not by right.
A woman of refined or gentle manners; a well-bred woman; -- the feminine correlative of gentleman.
A wife; -- not now in approved usage.
The triturating apparatus in the stomach of a lobster; -- so called from a fancied resemblance to a seated female figure. It consists of calcareous plates.
Belonging or becoming to a lady; ladylike.

Wife:

Man:

Especially: An adult male person; a grown-up male person, as distinguished from a woman or a child.
The human race; mankind.
The male portion of the human race.
One possessing in a high degree the distinctive qualities of manhood; one having manly excellence of any kind.
An adult male servant; also, a vassal; a subject.
A term of familiar address often implying on the part of the speaker some degree of authority, impatience, or haste; as, Come, man, we 've no time to lose!
A married man; a husband; -- correlative to wife.
One, or any one, indefinitely; -- a modified survival of the Saxon use of man, or mon, as an indefinite pronoun.
One of the piece with which certain games, as chess or draughts, are played.
To supply with men; to furnish with a sufficient force or complement of men, as for management, service, defense, or the like; to guard; as, to man a ship, boat, or fort.
To furnish with strength for action; to prepare for efficiency; to fortify.

Husband :
The male head of a household; one who orders the economy of a family.
A cultivator; a tiller; a husbandman.
One who manages or directs with prudence and economy; a frugal person; an economist.
A marrieds man; a man who has a wife; -- the correlative to wife.

Family:
The collective body of persons who live in one house, and under one head or manager; a household, including parents, children, and servants, and, as the case may be, lodgers or boarders.
The group comprising a husband and wife and their dependent children, constituting a fundamental unit in the organization of society.
Those who descend from one common progenitor; a tribe, clan, or race; kindred; house; as, the human family; the family of Abraham; the father of a family.
Course of descent; genealogy; line of ancestors; lineage.
