Had so many metaphors running in my head until I saw the note. Reminded me of my dogs obsession with a skunk that was trapped behind the hot tub heater.
Dogs have that ability to get into such predicaments and then naturally display the most sorrowful looks.

I’m seeing all the possible meanings of the poem before the picture loads, very funny!
I’m thankful no skunks, wow! I have 2, a boy and a girl labradoodle and the boy always comes back a mess, the girl hovers over the grass I think and never has a mark in her lol.

Oh how darling ... I just took my pup to play in the flooded pasture ... we both got soaked ...
