Lost Girl

broken lights
flicker
in the vacant streets
she fills the void
by shooting liquid
into her veins
dulling the pain
at least for tonight
ink stained eyes
that see far more
than she can bare
ash filled lungs
start to suffocate
slowly
her mask she wears
to hide the shame
abandoned tears
that no longer come
and her empty body
she no longer owns
giving in
giving it completely
to the soul
of the city
