I had some queries about the darkness yesterday it was interesting what i found it seems to me people are not studying properly I found several places where God appeared as a being of great darkness...
Genesis 15:11–13 — New Living Translation (NLT)
11 Some vultures swooped down to eat the carcasses, but Abram chased them away.
12 As the sun was going down, Abram fell into a deep sleep, and a terrifying darkness came down over him. 13 Then the Lord said to Abram, “You can be sure that your descendants will be strangers in a foreign land, where they will be oppressed as slaves for 400 years.
1 Kings 8:12 (KJV) Then spake Solomon, The LORD said that he would dwell in the thick darkness.
Psalm 139:8 KJV: If I ascend up into heaven, thou art If I ascend into heaven, You are there; If I make my bed in hell, behold, You are there. ...
my initial question was about the darkness being here first because that's what I always believed inside me this is where that thought lead...

According to my research, the first appearance of God, into this "world of creation", is in the form of a shadow over the surface of waters, and this following a state of darkness.
There are those that have proposed that this was taken from the Enuma Elish.
I have studied this book and I find merit in this proposal...
The Old Testament very much reads like the Enuma Elish, with shadows...
I have studied a variety of Holy Books.
I am interested in such things, always have been.
I find I cannot discuss such things with many people, which is A okay with me.
You are a multi faceted, deep thinker, Crimsin.

Made me think of a crime scene and the aftermath. The pain and the unrepentant killer. The destruction of one and the self destruction that ensues. I could see the haunting shadows in the chaos. Beautiful.
