The rains came,
written
in
Blood;
Erosion eroded
the soul
into
a
Hole:
Expansion expanded
emptiness
into
a
Flood,
Broken breaking
heart
mind
soul…
Mountain tops
of
broken
wings
&
Angelic
things,
Dust to dust -
Immortal/
immortalized
This
I
Say
To the those skies:
It was thus
because
I made it thus.

Author's Note
I was recently reminded of a letter that was written to me, by a deeply sage individual, for whom I had the deepest love and respect.
In the letter was the sentiment:
"Things rarely turned out how I designed for myself."
This was something that I carried forth, like echoes in the depths of my mind.
... I must say... It felt like a defeatist, self fulfilling prophecy... and yet... Realism.
Fucking inescapable realism. The futility of humanity and such.
... but then one day the ideas of Nietzsche hit me like lightening.
... I think there are abyss like depths in his thinking that can really transform a person's cognitive structure. (of course he was influenced by very ancient forms of wisdom.)

Dear CO,
Very heady concepts that I find myself reaching deep to understand. Mostly because I’m thick headed or simple minded, either fits the bill. What I take away from this wonderfully introspective write is after feeling so beaten down and defeated by life and its foibles, if we make the decision to take charge of the things we can outcomes have a way of being way more positive. I’d like to hope they do anyway. Giving way to the old order I noticed my depression levels tanked to epic lows. I really admire your inclusion of philosophers. I think I’m beginning to see them more as poets as well as thinkers.
