Visions of Persephone
sunshine shimmers
upon a pond glitters
as fawn lips disrupt
the glassy surface
as she drinks
she floats above
a verdant marsh
her gown fashion from peet
she echoes a reedy tone
o' when she sings sad songs
as she glides over blades
lush grass tickles her barefeet
she has bluebells in her hair,
each toe she wears a ring
given to her by her mother dear
all creatures bow their heads
in reverence as she floats above
the placid lake...like a vision...a dream
She is Persephone..

I have been trying to find niche' I seem to like to write Mythological poems here...I normally like to write Dark poetry...and Sci-fi but that was when I was on Allpoetry.com I am rediscovering my love of the written word...nature, and love and using my abstract eye I am going to grow as a poet here...I know

This is a definitely a powerful way to start your growth process.... I found this piece, perfectly penned especially for your visual accompaniment. The lush imagery evoked, melds so nicely with the sprinklings of the creative rhymes, making for an ethereal quality and very smooth flow.... Terrific work!

Thank you so much...I think poets are a lot like caterpillars in my opinion sometimes we have to break those cocoons we spun, and break out as new butterflies thirsty for creativity and philosophy...both walk hand in hand with poetry

Elegant and exquisite. I think that the more we in tune we are with our own way, the more we can explore all ways, and only become increasingly in tune with ourselves.
I think that the explorations, stylistically or otherwise, that you are endeavoring upon will only enhance all other aspects of your existence.
