On the Eve of Autumn

On the Eve of Autumn

I've been riding the Sun for so long now.
Hearing Cicadas sing their summer song.
I wonder,
How much longer
Till they are gone?

Autumn lulls them to sleep
And winter brings silence.
For the cycle of life
So uncompromising,
Is bound by its laws
And demands full compliance.

Tonight the moon rises
On the eve of autumn
And colors will soon shift
To the beauty of aurum.

As summer retires
Enjoy fading light.
Enjoy fading warmth,
For in creeps the night.
Remember these sounds
Still pulsing with life,
When the chill of the cold
Cuts through like a knife.
